It’s A Colorful World

Scientific experiments prove that the color of a room affects the emotions of the people in it. Colors give off different sensations. Red is known to display strong emotions of love and comfort as well as feelings of excitement and intensity. Maybe keep that out of the boardroom, but it’s highly recommended for restaurants and fitness centers. Orange, on the other hand, has shown to be an energetic color that draws attention, brings excitement, enthusiasm, and warmth. What employer wouldn’t want those emotions from the employees? Yellow is tricky, as it depends on the shade. One shade might increase the speed of your metabolism; another causes anger and frustration while another still brings feelings of “cheery and warm”. The wrong yellow in a classroom would make for a very unhappy teacher. “Green with envy?” That’s because one shade of green causes feelings of jealousy. Lighter shades of green; on the other hand, offer a healthy feeling and a calming effect, proven to ease away stress. Medical facilities should consider light green for patient areas. Varieties of Blue: “Feeling blue today”? That is because blue emits a calmness that might also lead to feelings of sadness. Interestingly, Blue has a filling feeling to it. Usually blue decreases the want to eat. Blue is not a good choice for a restaurant or cafeteria. A king always has purple incorporated in his wardrobe because purple is often perceived as a royal color or the color of wisdom and wealth, perfect for the ‘bosses’ office or a luxury hotel or spa. Pink is the color of romance and love. For females, pink is calming, but after a certain amount of time, pink was shown to cause agitation in men. Pink is better suited to salons geared toward females. While Brown has been shown to emanate a feeling of isolation and depression in some, it is also known to create a feeling of warmth, comfort and security. Moreover, Brown shows sophistication. Shades of brown are a great color for an office, conference room or entry area. Black is a color of death and sadness. It often depicts the villain. Black can also give off a sexual feeling and/or a sophisticated sensation. Black should be left to the clothing industry and photography dark rooms. Think about this; these colors affect the way you live your life every day. All of these colors and emotions could be under your control. All you have to do is call DJ’s Painting.
